TECHNICAL REPORT
ILLITERACY IN MAGUGU VILLAGE (MANYARA – REGION)

Magugu is the village that found in Babati district in Manyara region. It’s located almost 25 km from Babati district   where there is the centre called Magugu ADP in village which also located along side main road that go straight up to neighbor regions Arusha via Singida. In this village there is high level of Illiteracy that caused by a lot of causes which are going to discussed in the coming pages

Illiteracy is the condition of being unable to read and write or is the condition (quality) of being ignorant or unknowledgeable in particular subject or field.
In Magugu area of development project (ADP) I assigned under the department of education and life skills to establish new project of literacy boosting and we are operated the project in 27 primary schools in three wards of Magugu, Magara and Nkaiti and we arrived those schools the 10 schools are the interventions schools used during project and others remained schools are the control schools used in making comparison to those projects are operated the main aims it’s to identify challenges faces education sector such as long distances schools, lack of enough teacher, shortage of infrastructure for example desks shortage of classes and lack of awareness among the parents concerned to school as a major causes of illiteracy.
